Toyin Saraki’s Wife Decries Violence Against Women

Wife of the Kwara State governor, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, has decried the spate of violence against women in Nigeria, stating its multifarious effects transcend national and community’ levels.

Mrs. Saraki, in a message to the launching of Journalists Against Violence Against Women (JAVAW), as part of the programme to mark the Press Week of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) 2007, Oyo State chapter, said gender based violence has generated a lot of concern nationally and internationally.
